Children Copy What Grown-ups Do

Children-Copy-What-Grown-ups-Do

Let’s take a look at my son. He is just 2 years and 7 months old when this photo was taken. I left him alone in our bathroom as I was about to bathe him in the morning. When I finally followed Kyle there bringing his toweI with me I was surprised to see him very busy washing his underpants! I took a moment to observe him as he rubbed a bath soap and hand washed his brief. He also rinsed it with water using the disposable plastic glass as his dipper. I realized then that children do copy what grown-ups are doing. He often sees me and our housemaid do the laundry at home.

Overwhelming Gifts

Overwhelming-Gifts1

My youngest son, Harley turned 1 year old on July 24, 2010. We gave him a simple post birthday party celebration wherein he received several gifts from his god parents, relatives, friends and guests. He was so eager to see its contents as his “kuya” or elder brother assisted in opening each gift. Obviously, Kuya was very excited as well. He felt as if those were his gifts too. He even cried when we set him aside as we took a picture of Harley along with his birthday presents. My husband and I carefully explained to him trying to let him understand that we are doing this just like we did during his birthday so that they will have a remembrance of their birthday gifts.

Office Team Building Activity

Team-Activity

We all had fun during our office team building activity. I brought my family along with me at the venue. My sons had fun at the banana boat. Those with us are my officemates. My son never really had the chance to ride on the banana boat with us because they were not allowed to. They were attended to by their baby sitters while I enjoyed the banana boat ride with my co-employees. Everybody were appropriately dressed up with the right gear to ensure our safety. My sons were waving their hands to us as we took off and rode ourselves through the ocean.

Our Little Boy Officemate

harleyofftoo

We had a little officemate—my son. Those women who were closed to my little boy were his godmother and Nanay. They loved my son because he seemed to be the office ice breaker. Whenever my officemates got bored with their work or have nothing to do, they picked up my son at our office dormitory and brought him to their tables. There they cuddled him up. And because he is the only baby in the place, he always draw everybody’s attention. This photo was taken during our teambuilding activity. My son was always present whenever we had office activity. That’s because I carried him along with me whenever I went because he is a breastfed baby.

Ely Boy’s First Haircut

elys-first-haircut2

The feeling I had during my second son’s 1st haircut was not like the my eldest son’s haircut. I was not that very excited when my 2nd son had his first barber cut. Maybe, it’s because it was not my first experience. My husband was not even there to witness Ely’s milestone. We were both busy at that time. I could not wait for the time when my hubby will be available. Even if I have no enough money, I decided to bring him to a not an ordinary barber shop. I want to keep the tradition that a child should have his/her hair cut for the first time as soon as he turns 1 year old. At that time, what matters most to me is I could take picture and could keep some of his hair strands.
