Palayok or Piñata Games

Palayok

Hitting the clay pot called as “palayok” is such a fun outdoor activity for people of all ages. This is the reason why we include this game in our office victory party in the beach. The party was participated in by the members of our family. During the palayok game, all kids were eager to wear the blindfold and start finding the best position to hit the clay pot. The children surrounding the “hit bot/girl” are just as eager to pick up the stuff in the pot once the lucky one breaks it. Truly, the game was such a wonderful fun. If you are not so lucky to hit the pot, well it’s alright because you have the chance to pick up the best contents . All you need is to be quick because there are many kids who are eager to get hold of those sweet candies, coins, etc. as it falls on the

Secured with Life Vest On

Secured-with-Life-Vest-On

Going out to the sea is a bit scary especially if you are sailing only by boat. Although it excites me to ride on a banana boat with my colleagues because I get to see clearly the depth of the ocean and feel the breeze but the unpleasant thoughts that pops out to my mind still frightens me. There is the possibility that the boat will be turned upside down. Another thing that bothers me is the thought of being eaten by a shark or the rare chance that the boat will deflate? Well, so much for that worse scenarios. I try to set aside those negative thoughts and enjoy the adventure. I just reassure myself that the life vest I wear and the ability to swim are enough to make me feel safe and secure while we are sailing on the sea.

Kids First Time Flyers

Kids-First-Time-Flyers

In July 23, 2010, God allowed our family to spend a few days vacation in Baguio and Manila. My husband and I were anxious because that was the first time we went on a long distance travel with our kids—Kyle, who was just 2 years old and Harley, who turned 1 year old on July 24, 2010. The kids were excited to ride an airplane. They kept moving on their seats. They did not fell asleep. At times, they would glance at the plane’s window to take a glimpse of the view below while we were boarding. On the other hand, Kyle commented that the white clouds in the sky looked like cotton.

Manila Zoo

Where-is-Giraffe

When my whole family went to Manila Zoo, I was very excited that our 2 little kids would finally see those animals they only saw in books and posters. That was their first time to have encountered with several kinds of live animals. Before going there, I briefed them that our tour would be exciting because we would have personal encounter with various kinds of animals. When we finally got there, they had a chance to see hippopotamus, deer, snakes, turtles, deer, zebra, elephant, monkeys, etc. There was only 1 elephant left at the zoo because the others died out of old age. When I asked for the giraffe, the zoo’s attendant said that it died several years ago. What they only have is a statue of this extinct animal.

Why Do Crocodiles Rarely Move?

Why-Do-Crocodiles-Rarely-Move

I wonder why crocodiles rarely move. I had observed them twice already and I found out that its natural for them to stay still for a time. I don’t know how long will it takes for them to keep still before they make a move. The first time I saw crocodile, I thought it was only a statue. I got bored observing this creature but to my dismay, it did never moved. Not even a little. Maybe some of you got lucky to see them crawl or creep. I hope that next time I will have a chance to see this reptiles crawl right before my eyes hehehe..
