I am so glad that my sister who is now living in the States value family togetherness. If it is not of her strong desire to reunite with her family, our family would still be longing for the time when we could be complete. She is the only one who lives far away from us. Our vacation at Dakak Beach Resort was truly memorable. We had fun at the beach and swimming pools in the resort. Truly, a family is not perfect without kids. They are the source of our fun and they complete us. I look forward for future family reunion such as this because it fosters unity and closeness to our whole family.

June 1, 2011 was one of the happiest moments of Papa Nardo’s life. Precisely because all of his children and grandchildren visited him and our stepmother, Tita Malou, in Bukidnon. The family is almost complete except for my brother-in-law, Toney who was not able to come to the Philippines with his family. Nonetheless, the kids enjoyed our stay in Bukidnon. They played a lot. They posed a lot for photographs taken by my sisters, Sheila and Raquel. While as for us grown-ups, we enjoyed the delicious foods our parents prepared while we had fun talking with one another. We enjoyed our stay there despite of the fact that the house is too small for us to accommodate especially at bedtime.

What a strange bird! Until now all of the people in my father’s farm who have caught and seen the rare bird in the picture were convinced that it is an owl. I and my family would refused to believe that it is an owl since it is quite different from the live owl we had seen before. We could picture out that an owl does not exactly look like this. But so much for those doubts, we stopped arguing of the name of this specie and just took pictures of it for tomorrow this bird would be gone. When I asked my father’s worker what will he do with the bird, he immediately answered me that he is going to slaughter it and cook it for he and his family.
